Increasing efficiency of geothermal probe plants

Large probe fields are subject to natural conditions which have direct influence to the efficiency of geothermal probe plants. Through reliable long-term monitoring in continuous operation, you can react. The GEOsniff® AUTO BYPASS gives support:

Fully automatic groundwater monitoring

To measure the groundwater quality permanently, data must be collected according to the hydrological situation. In addition to the ground water level and the temperature you have to identify numerous values. The GEOsniff® AUTO BYPASS has the following features:

  • Fully automatic and continuous long-term monitoring of the depth-temperature profile of groundwater
  • Creating a high-precision depth-temperature profile

Monitoring of aquifers

The use and protection of groundwater requires constant monitoring of the aquifer. Besides the temperature, the flow directions are important information in the aquifer. A grid of temperature depth profiles can depict the flow directions and velocities in the different groundwater levels. A grid of groundwater monitoring wells, which are equipped with the GEOsniff® AUTO BYPASS offer the following requirements.:

  • Fully automatic detection of high-precision temperature depth profiles for each measurement point
  • Programmable measurement interval between measurements (e.g. daily oder monthly)
  • Online access to all measurement data
  • Online access to all settings
  • Notifications when errors/deviations such as influences of the groundwater temperature, inteferences by nearby thermal utilization of groundwater
  • Detection of a three-dimensional, dynamic temperature record for an aquifer, for calibration of groundwater models

 

Geothermal Monitoring

The GEOsniff® AUTO BYPASS of enOware serves the automated and continuous measurement and monitoring of the depth-temperature profile in a U-tube, e.g. in geothermal probes or well measuring point. The GEOsniff® AUTO BYPASS offers the following specifications:

  • Automatic insertion and removal of a GEOsniff® MEASUREMENT PIG into the measuring point
  • Inductive charge and read unit
  • Individually configurable measuring cycle
  • Retrofittable to conventional probes with a diameter of 32/40 mm and larger
